The RUUT Platform operates in strict accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR). Manchester Metropolitan University acts as the Data Controller for the purposes of this academic project.

Your data is processed under the legal basis of "Public Task" for research purposes, ensuring that all information gathered contributes to academic advancement and platform optimization.

2. Video Data Processing (Testers)

You have the opportunity to review your video file locally before uploading it to ensure no sensitive personal information (PII) is captured.

All uploaded videos undergo a strict Manual Moderation Workflow by platform administrators before being shared with the Product Owner. Any video containing accidental PII will be securely deleted and rejected immediately.

3. Data Storage & Erasure

All video evidence is encrypted and stored securely using cloud architecture (AWS S3 equivalents).

To adhere to the principle of data minimization, all video files and associated task metadata will be permanently erased 30 days after the completion of the evaluation phase (July 2026).

4. Right to Withdraw

Participation is completely voluntary. You reserve the right to withdraw your consent and request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time prior to the final anonymization of the research dataset.
